Manage your Dreams and Extend your Horizon

When I finished my high school in Germany and based on my hospitable character, I chose the best Hospitality College in Europe. It was in The Hague, the Netherlands as a further study. Once I completed the 3-year program, I followed a further 1-year at the Hotel School in Geneva, Switzerland with sales and marketing specialization.

After several years of experience in renowned hotels in the Netherlands, I moved to California. There in Long Beach, Los Angeles, by chance I met an old classmate from Switzerland, who was the manager of seven restaurants on the famous Queen Mary ship. In consultation and on his advice, I bought an existing large restaurant with a nightclub in Marina del Rey, Los Angeles, and converted it into high European standards regarding the menus under the name of Le Papillion, which within two years a Michelin star has been awarded.

In the eighties, a hype for light and preferably fat-free meals has been grown in the USA. In order to follow the new trend, I opened a restaurant in Los Angeles under the name TGI Friday, which was a great success. We served more than seven hundred lunches and dinners daily.

A few years later for family reasons I decided to return to the Netherlands. During my many international journeys, I noticed that the quality of service, even in internationally well-known hotels, often leaves much to be desired.

In the nineties, I decided to make travel documentaries for tourist academies and series videos of “How to” in various branches of the hospitality industry under the name “European Virtual Training”, which examples can be seen in my video channel “SanecoVision Holland” in YouTube.

Since 2003 I live in the city of Marbella, southern Spain, a Walhalla from middle class to exclusive hotels, restaurants and nightclubs and more. In Spain I did not use my knowledge and experience to open a new hospitality project, but instead into education and training of employees in the hospitality industry from a bellboy to department manager, which meant the birth of SanecoVision Hospitality Academy.

The main purpose of this academy is not based on commerce, but with the goal of passing on our knowledge and experience to the next generation for improving quality in all aspects of the Hospitality industry. Our students have benefit from an unrivalled level of expertise from our professional teachers in hospitality and tourism industry or higher positions in international hotels or businesses.

The experienced lecturers will communicate and share their passion and world-wide expertise with our students by delivering courses enriched by their own real-life experiences in the hospitality industry.

The location of our courses in Spain does not take place in a normal classroom of a school, but right into the source of the vibrant 5-star Gran Melía Don Pepe resort in Marbella, where the action is. Here the students will closely observe daily how the hospitality industry professionally operates. The guest teachers are the captains of industry, who are working in this resort.

In The Hague, the Netherlands our choice has fallen either at the Mondriaan Hospitality Experience Center, a combination of a hotel school and a contemporary trendy hotel or at the international hotel Hilton, depending on location availability. In both locations, in Spain or the Netherlands, the students will feel at home regarding their current or future career and at the end of each course the student will receive an internationally accepted certificate of achievement.

I wish all our students good luck after completing these short but educational courses with the confidence to have contributed to improvement and quality in the hospitality industry.
